Japanese guitar soloist and composer Ichika Nito has gained worldwide acclaim for his innovative guitar expression that transcends borders. As of January 2026, his social media following exceeds 4.8 million across platforms.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists and genres—including Bill Evans, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Joe Hisaishi, and Iron Maiden—he has developed a distinctive musical style characterized by unique techniques and beautifully melancholic tones, earning a passionate global fanbase. His artistry has been praised by internationally renowned musicians such as Pete Townshend (The Who), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Zedd, Martin Garrix, and Jack Black. He has also collaborated with globally recognized guitarists including Tim Henson (Polyphia) and Marcin.

As a composer and arranger, Ichika Nito is active on the international stage. In 2022, he co-composed and arranged “more than life” with Travis Barker for Grammy Award-winning artist Machine Gun Kelly. In visual media, his work spans film and television soundtracks, as well as commercial music, including the 2023 SEIKO PROSPEX TV commercial featuring Shohei Ohtani.

In 2021, Ibanez released his signature guitar model, making him the first Japanese artist in the brand’s history to receive such an honor. His headless signature model, the “ICHI10,” continues to be highly acclaimed by guitar enthusiasts worldwide.

In 2023, he appeared at CHANEL’s “2022/23 Métiers d’Art Collection” show in Tokyo, performing Ryuichi Sakamoto’s iconic “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.” More recently, his collaboration with the game Genshin Impact has attracted significant attention, further establishing him as a cross-cultural artist whose influence extends beyond music into fashion, visual arts, and gaming.

In January 2026, Ichika Nito released his long-awaited first album, The Moon’s Elbow, a culmination of his artistic journey to date.
